Derbyshire – Characterful Stone Cottage

This picture perfect Derbyshire Cottage was perfectly complemented with our handcrafted timber windows and doors.

How We Delivered

We created and installed three of our signature flush casement windows and four of our Signature sliding sash windows with spring balances. The timber selected was engineered Red Grandis. Both the casement and sash windows all had cottage bars in keeping with the style of the cottage. The sash windows were fitted with sash horns, locking fitch fasteners, sash lifts, ring pulls and vent locks. All the windows were factory spray finished in our luxury high performance paint; colour matched to Farrow & Ball Strong White.

The finishing touch is the front door also in engineered red grandis, this is a six-panel design with the top two panels being glazed with toughened glass. The door hardware is silver in colour, we used 3D adjustable hinges, a back-to-back finger pull, 3 point high, multi point locking system for security, polished chrome letterplate with internal cover and a feature ring door knocker in polished chrome. The door is factory spray finished in our luxury high performance paint, colour matched to Little Greene Hopper on the outside and RAL Traffic White on the inside.

The Result

The cottage looks absolutely delightful and with Modern Timber Technology at the core of all our timber products, it will be kept warm and insulated during the cold and wet Winter months.
