We are based on the edge of the beautiful Peak District, so this project was a perfect fit for us, we have a unique understanding of the types of property within this area. Often built from local stone and in exposed situations where the weather can be challenging. There will always be planning issues which must be taken into consideration with each individual project, and we have in-depth experience with this.

New windows, with the advantages of double glazing, superior insulation, a micro-porous low maintenance paint finish and Accoya long life scientifically modified wood can be a distinct advantage. Transforming a sometimes cold and draughty home, into a snug and warm one, without compromising the appearance of the property and actually adding value to the home.

Archford House is located in a particularly beautiful Peak District village and our client required twenty-six replacement windows. The property is built from local natural stone and the windows needed to be in keeping with the appearance of the property and the surrounding area.

The windows were made to our high performance, flush detail design, with slim Argon filled double glazed units, and Georgian style astragal bars. Using the slim Argon filled double glazed units maintains the original appearance of single glazed windows, while giving the all the benefits of double glazing. The paint colour specified was Traffic White and the hardware was Black with teardrop style handles & catches, the style being totally in keeping with the ‘look’ of the property.

The end result was aesthetically totally in keeping with the property and area and technically a huge improvement in insulation and security.
