Alderley Edge, Cheshire – Entrance Hall

We were commissioned to make a bespoke curved staircase for this customer in Cheshire and to complete the grand entrance of this beautiful contemporary modern home we also created and installed the front door and side panels.

How We Delivered

The staircase has a sweeping curve design which looks very impressive when entering the hall. This staircase is unusual as it fits to the angular shape of the walls on the right-hand side but is curved on the left-hand side. The treads and risers are factory finished in White as the customer wanted to have a custom staircase ‘runner’ fitted and the end result is stunning. The curved section and the handrail are both in Oak which complements the white perfectly. The spindles were custom made in twisted metal.

The front door is an insulated tonged & grooved panel design, with black hardware. The timber is engineered Red Grandis, factory spray finished in translucent natural oak. The side panels are both full glazed with toughened glass and let light flood into the entrance hall.

The Result

This project beautifully demonstrates how a bespoke staircase and handcrafted timber entrance door can completely transform the feel of a home. By combining traditional joinery with modern design, we created a unique focal point that blends elegance with practicality. The curved staircase showcases our craftsmanship in working with complex shapes, while the natural oak detailing and glazed side panels highlight our ability to bring warmth, light, and lasting character into a contemporary setting.
