Brookeswood Exhibits at Grand Designs
Earlier this month, we took to the road – to the Grand Designs Live exhibition at the NEC Birmingham – and what an incredible experience it was.
For three days, our team showcased the very best of our handcrafted timber windows, doors, and staircases, meeting visitors with grand plans of their own and sharing our passion for British craftsmanship and design excellence.
The event brought together hundreds of inspiring exhibitors and thousands of visitors, each connected by a love of great design, sustainable building, and architectural innovation. From eco-friendly materials to cutting-edge home solutions, Grand Designs Live is the ultimate destination for anyone embarking on a renovation or self-build project – and we were proud to be part of it.
Across the weekend, four specialist theatres – Build & Renovation, Home & Garden, Kitchen, and Sustainability – hosted live talks, including one from the show’s presenter Kevin McCloud, who spoke passionately about why timber should be the material of choice for sustainable building.
We were particularly inspired by sessions on listed building design and eco-conscious construction – both areas that align closely with our expertise in bespoke timber products for heritage and conservation properties.
Reflecting on the event, Brookeswood Director Bradley Brookes said:

Our time at Grand Designs Live reaffirmed something we already know – there’s a growing desire among homeowners and architects to choose sustainably sourced, high-performance timber as a long-term investment in both design and the planet.
